As part of the tour, the Inn of the Mountain Gods Classic will welcome over 100 national and international touring golf professionals on May 18-21 with a total prize purse of $132,600.

“The Inn of the Mountain Gods Championship Golf Course is thrilled to welcome the 2006 Tight Lies Tour,” said IMG Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf Daniel Nuñez. “Players in the Inn of the Mountain Gods Classic should enjoy the scenery, the fast greens and the overall challenge of our course.”

The public and guests of the IMG can purchase spectator passes for the Tight Lies Tour for $5 per day or $20 for the week.  The one-day pass includes a free entry into the “Longest Drive” Contest on Saturday, May 20, where contestants will vie for prizes courtesy of the IMG.  The week-long spectator pass includes the contest entry, $10 in casino play and a coupon for a hotdog and soda during the tournament.  For those without a spectator pass, entry for the Longest Drive Contest is $5.

The Inn of the Mountain Gods Championship Golf Course and their facilities are perfectly suited to host the next stars of the PGA Tour.”

Since 1994, the Tour has graduated over 30 players to the PGA Tour. The Tight Lies Tour is open to any professional or amateur golfer, 18 years of age and older. Amateurs must have a handicap of five or less. This year, the Tour has 19 events on its 2006 calendar. The Tight Lies tournaments also help to raise money for local charities and have worked with organizations such as the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Clubs, Diabetes Foundation and more. The Mountain Gods Classic will help raise money for the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital.
