“MESCALERO, N.M.— The music phenomenon started by MuzikMafia, an eclectic mix of music and performance artists, is sure to entertain audiences during their live show with featured artist Cowboy Troy at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino on Friday, May 19.
MuzikMafia began in 2001 as a family of country music artists from Nashville with a simple but powerful mission: to share a love of music without prejudice. Since then, they have built a powerful brand reaching millions of like-minded fans and providing exposure for Mafia artists and projects. They have extended their awareness beyond Nashville by receiving six Grammy Award nominations, selling over 11 million albums and appearing on the Country Music Television Awards, the Grammy Awards show, the Jay Leno Show, the Super Bowl and more. The MuzikMafia family of artists include: Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy, Jon Nicholson, James Otto, Shannon Lawson, Two-Foot Fred and several others in development. Visit www.muzikmafia.com for more information.
The May 19 performance will feature Dallas native Cowboy Troy, the world’s only six-foot-five, black, rapping cowboy who will introduce the new era of “hick-hop” to music fans. Other performers include: James Otto and the Otto Show, Jon Nicholson and his unique hybrid of soul, blues, funk and rock, Visual Performance Artist Rachel Kice, Shannon Lawson, and entertainer Two-Foot Fred.
The concert will take place inside the Inn of the Mountain Gods Event Center. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the concerts begin at 8 p.m.
