Mescalero, NM – Don’t miss Ski Apache’s first ever “Party on the Mountain” this Saturday from noon to 4:00 at Ski Apache. Come and join the Ski apache staff and some of Ruidoso’s finest ski and snowboard shops* for this inaugural pre-season party. The Party takes place on the Ski Apache patio and upper deck, and the weather forecast looks great this weekend. Everyone is invited for an afternoon of food, fun and entertainment!

“We really want to set the tone for a great year on the Mountain, and we thought there was no better way than to throw a great party and offer discounted season passes as well.” said Gene Stachowski, the Marketing Director at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino.

Season passes can be purchased at the Party at 20% off the regular rate and those skiers who purchased a season last season can purchase a season pass for the 2006 - 2007 season at 50% off the regular rate **. “We really wanted to thank those who purchased season passes last season in such a down snow year by offering such a significant discount to the ‘regular’ Ruidoso ski crowd”, Stachowski continued.

Ski Apache will be serving complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks; a cash bar is available as well. Live Music will be provided all afternoon by local blues-rock band Blues D’Ville, Free commemorative “Party on the Mountain 2006” Long sleeved T-shirts will be given away to the first 500 guests that day, and Gondola rides will be available at $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Weather permitting there will also be a snowmaking demonstration and the Summit Sports Shop will be holding a 50% sale on all ski apparel. Even the “Bud” Girls will make an appearance as well. “Many prizes will be given away all afternoon to our Party on the Mountain guests to thank our local ski base”, stated Tom Baca of the Inn’s Marketing Department. “We’re looking forward to making this a much anticipated annual event”, he continued.
