Mescalero, NM – On Thursday, August 30th, Betty Price won $118,770 when she hit a Price Is Right™ progressive MegaJackpot® at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino.
Betty, a retiree from Artesia, New Mexico, said her visit to Inn of the Mountain Gods wasn’t part of any special occasion and that she just “feels comfortable at the casino with friends.” Price went on to say that she has had a fortunate history with the winning machine. “I played that machine before and won about a thousand dollars,” Price commented. After investing only $14 into the winning machine, Price reported being surprised upon realizing her MegaJackpot® win. “I didn’t know what I had done. I thought maybe I won a much smaller amount” she said. Price plans to buy her grandson a car and take her family on a cruise.
Thursday’s MegaJackpot® is the second to be awarded at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino so far this year. In February, the casino paid a $147,787 Wheel of Fortune® MegaJackpot® on a quarter machine. The casino has now paid thirty-five MegaJackpots® totaling nearly $19 million in prize money since 1995, including three MegaJackpot®awards for one million dollars each, and one incredible $4.8 million prize paid on the Megabucks® dollar progressive system.
