September 5, 2007 (Alamogordo, New Mexico) - The newest business venture of Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino got off the ground September 5th at Bush Intercontinental Atlantic Aviation’s private jet station. The first flight of the Inn’s new jet charter service to and from Houston took off after a ribbon cutting ceremony and champagne toast celebrating the departure of the Vision Airlines 30-seat jet.  Reggie Gray, president of the North Houston Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce, was on hand along with officials of Harris County, City of Houston, and the Houston Airport system, business and community leaders, and managers from Inn of the Mountain Gods.

“This flight was full, and Houston has shown great enthusiasm for our new jet charter service. We are pleased to bring the excitement of our Vegas-style casino, the unique, natural beauty of our mountain resort environment, all the amazing amenities, and the Mescalero Apache heritage…along with the convenience of private, jet charter service…to a brand new market,” said Gene Stachowski, Director of Marketing for Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino.

After landing at the Alamogordo Airport, the passengers were greeted by Selena Chino, First Lady of the Mescalero Tribe, who also serves as a Tourism Commissioner for the State of New Mexico and Director of Retail Operations for Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino, along with city dignitaries and officials from the Inn. The Houston passengers than boarded an executive luxury coach for the short ride to Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino. The celebration continued at a special reception at Wendell’s Piano Lounge at the Inn.

The charter service will fly four days a week - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
